              The number of muffins should be sufficient to be shared by 8 or 9 pupils, meaning, the number must be divisible by 8 and 9. So, it is 72.

              She wants 2 muffins for herself, which means she needs to buy 2 more on top of the 72.

              Total = 74 muffins

                Thanks. My ger was doing the past year paper and i saw the answer was 26 muffins. I have doubts on the answer. She got the answer as 74 muffins also. So, most probably a misprint?

                  24 is divisible by 8 but not 9 (assuming my multiplication is correct šŸ˜‰ ). So, how is it possible that the answer is 26? 🤷

                  So, either the question or the answer is wrong. More like the latter.

                        Hi Ksoh3000,

                        The two page numbers must be consecutive.
                        Product of the two = 72
                        So by a number \"feel\" it should be = page number 8 and 9

                        PS- for P3 Maths there is a separate thread under Primary 3. Please post there. Thanks.
