Hi, i need help to solve tis question:
A teacher would like to share some muffins equally among 8 or 9 pupils. What is the least number of muffins she should buy if she wants 2 muffins for herself as well?

The number of muffins should be sufficient to be shared by 8 or 9 pupils, meaning, the number must be divisible by 8 and 9. So, it is 72.
She wants 2 muffins for herself, which means she needs to buy 2 more on top of the 72.
Total = 74 muffins -
Thanks. My ger was doing the past year paper and i saw the answer was 26 muffins. I have doubts on the answer. She got the answer as 74 muffins also. So, most probably a misprint?

24 is divisible by 8 but not 9 (assuming my multiplication is correct
). So, how is it possible that the answer is 26?
So, either the question or the answer is wrong. More like the latter. -

The two page numbers must be consecutive.
Product of the two = 72
So by a number \"feel\" it should be = page number 8 and 9
