I can't hide my excitement. I have just bought the Nikon 3100 after all your great comments and some search and reading done on website.
I have not gotten the camera yet but it is on its way.

Nikon is currently having a promotion for this-> $780 (exclude GST), comes with 8GB SDcard, tripod, cleansing kit and PU bag. I am getting from Sim Lim as Cathay is priced at $888 (much higher).

Be prepared my next post question will be how to start using a DSLR for nuts like me.. :lol:

Congrats… Have fun… you will love it… do read the manual from time to time (although this doesn’t sound interesting) but you will benefit from it.

:oops: It was a recommendation from a friend whose uncle owns one of the camera shop and he is giving me a discount on face value of the friend.

But I believe you will be able to negotiate similar pricing in Sim Lim now I have given you the benchmark?! :idea:
