Agree. DS's teacher told me that these interviewers are very experience. They'll be able to detect the sincerity of the child. & I believe most children are very honest.

Last year, there were some children who even told the interviewers : \"I apply this school because my parents want me to do so\". Not sure whether the chance will be affected by such answer. :scratchhead:
So parents, if your child do not really like or feel comfortable with the schools, maybe it's good not to \"force\" them to apply DSA for the school. πŸ˜‰
What I am afraid is sometime if a qn is asked indirectly to test if the kids like the dsa school and the kids take it objectively to answer, it may lead to misunderstanding that the kids do not feel for the school and end up no CO, but infact the kids like the school, then the interview is making things worst.

My first post on this website. Has anyone been called for interview at MGS?

MGS DSA-sports trial was last week. No idea for DSA academic. You can call MGS to check. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion, Lilo. I called up the school office and they said the invitations for interview will be sent out next week. So good luck everyone :xedfingers:
Actually, for the DSA do we have to apply for it or the schools will send you an invite email to ask you to apply ? How does it works ah ??? *blurr*

You've to apply for it. The application process can be found under the school website. Usually it's online application and will start in April each year. So, if you're interested to apply DSA for certain schools, go to their website.

Can check how do we know which school is offering DSA or all schools offer DSA ?
You may refer to the participating school here

I think the child must be able to articulate why they like the school.. majority of parents I spoke to say they are applying DSA to 2 to 3 schools. Most schools and interviewers know that.

In our case, DS applied through DSA to NUHS, SJI adn ACSI. He got into 2nd round for NUSH and SJI. Not sure if he will get co for any ... but we are hoping... and waiting.... and waiting... πŸ˜„

I don't think the schools will go to the extent lah. Afterall, they're just 12 year old kids. The schools are also aware many parents are guiding their children on the schools to apply. Just that, there may be some kids who are really die-hard fan of certain schools or maybe dislike certain schools. So if the child was being \"force\", then the child may just reply honestly.

Agree that most of the schools know that probably the parents/kids have DSA to more than just 1 sch.
HCI asked DS : \"what is your next step if HCI didn't offer you?\"
DS replied that he would take up his 2nd choice - NUSH.
:slapshead: No matter what/how we prep, kids will tend to tell the truth πŸ˜„

Well, I dunno if the answer will kill or help him.....maybe HCI will offer him if they dun want to take risk or they think anyway DS will not have any offer, can wait for his PSLE then decide :rotflmao:

Oh, I think they'll offer him cos he said NUSH is his 2nd choice. That would mean HCI is his 1st!!!! πŸ˜„ & HCI did not say they're giving him WL as well. So how to choose HCI???

Lucky, my DS didn't ganna this questions during the interview in RI & HCI. If not, I wonder how will he answer?? :scratchhead:
