MandyMummy:
Think transfer is not allowed not just after PSLE.Shalom:
My DD told me that she want to go Cedar girls but she had a place in SCGS which she do not wish to drop it too. She said that she will accept SCGS but if PSLE result turn out to be good, she will want to move to Cedar. She said she attend one week SCGS and ask for transfer to Cedar. Can she do in this way? Will SCGS allow?
If you accept the CO from SCGS, MOE will not allow transfer even if you meet the COP of Cedar.
Think will not be allowed at all for DSA students throughout the 4-6 years. -
MandyMummy:
if you accept a school via DSA no switch is allowed any time. ACS I princi gave this info. If you apply for switch schools will check if the student is via DSA or PSLE. if DSA no appeal is allowed. if PSLE then appeal might be considered case by case basis and availability.Shalom:

But Cedar and SCGS, which one is better? -

I think so too. Otherwise people will start to exploit it.MandyMummy:

But Cedar and SCGS, which one is better?[/quote]I guess the No transfer for DSA would be strongly enforce again this year, think you will see it on the DSA offer letter or MOE School Preference Form on 22 Oct
Cedar would lead to VJC together with VS
SCGS would team up with St Nicks and Cat High to form new govt JV in 2017 in holding site at Bishan ITE.
