That happens.

Why they hv to make life difficult for a 12 year old?
I heard the interview qn can be why u want to be a potate and not orange?
:wrongmove:

It's not that stressful nor difficult. Certainly I don't think my dd nor her friends complained about it being stressful. The panel isn't there to trick the kids. Sometimes it's the parents who get nervous and pass on this stress to the kids, asking them to memorize standard answers or stressing how important the DSA process etc. Keep cool, tell the child it's just chatting with the teachers. When the kids are calm they'll perform better.

For questions like potatos and oranges, there's no correct answer. So why worry about it?
Yes, agreed. Just relax and enjoy the interview. For RI, the interviewer will be all the level head and the \"P\", Ms Lim. My son was interviewed by her. Nice chart and she has a \"poker\" face. So you do not know how well or bad you have done.

The questions that I remembered from last year RI GEP interview.

1) You want to be a pen or pencil?
2) You want to be a screw driver or hammer?
3) You want to be bowling ball or football?
4) What time of the day do you like?
5) Which country do you like to visit?
6) Do you read? Do you read the newspaper? Which section or news that caught your attention
7) Which animal you want to be? I guess this questions Ms Lim has mentioned during her Open House presentation. Her answer was Eagle.
😎 Do you like cooking?
9) Which super hero you want to be?
10) What is your greatest achievement?
11) Why you want to come to RI?
12) Have you apply DSA to other schools?
13) If you are given CO from RI and xxx school, which one will you choose?
14) Have you visited RI open house? How many times?
15) How to improve the RI open house
16) What have you taken back with you after you have visited RI open house?
17) What is your hobby?

have also heard of boys given tricky/teething questions at RI and HCI interview also in the past.
HCI interview and short written test even more interesting.

Written :
1) Test on Motto of HCI
2) Provide suggestion how can HCI go \"Green\"
3) Draw a \"mind-map\" of the education system of Singapore

Interview
1) Why you want to come to HCI?
2) What is your achievement?
3) Which countries have you visited?
4) What is your hobby?

Some of questions were asked in CHINESE, so you are expected to reply back in CHINESE.

Interesting question to them. SS has taught them the history who won. They learnt a lot in detail. They were encourage to attend rally in the last GE... πŸ˜‰

Any feedback for ACS (I) IP.

* how difficult is HAST.
* Any samples other than what school gave us when registering.
* is it just HAST results alone or certs also they look.
* How difficult is the DSA process. Any past experienced parents here , please please help.
* How many students are selected and CO given to them (past few years)and how many accepted it.
Not sure if I heard correctly at the ACSI's Open House principal talk. I think it was mentioned they only have 50 places for DSA? I was at the non-feeder school session so not sure if the 50 applies to no. of places for non feeder school. Based on my understanding, in the past, very few students from my ds' school were offered place in ACSI.

Did the RI online system say applicants must leave the data in 1 or 2 decimals? Else, can round off to the nearest whole number? :please:
:? can it be done. but any way I think RI will recalculate to their own formula.
