Was just wondering whether there is any information on academic value-add for RI and HCI.

Considering the number of geppers and top PSLE scorers enrolled in each of these schools (seems that RI has many more such students) and comparing their ‘A’ Level results, which school is better in terms of academic value-addedness?

        Thanks!

Someone mentioned that there are about 180 Geppers in RI for each cohort, (sorry forgot who said this and too lazy to go back to check :salute: ), how about the 300 odd others? Does anyone know the percentage of the various schools (HCI, NYGH, RGS, ACSI,etc.) these students go to? TIA 😄

RI - normally 15 classes made up of 30x15=450; of which 7 classes contain about 180 GEPpers plus 30 mainstreamers; the other 8 classes are mainstreamers

HCI - iSpark has about 80 - 90 GEPpers, plus some mainstreamers

RGS - not sure how many classes

NYGH - some one recently posted they have 1 class only ?

some are found in other IP schools

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal

Hi, verykiasu2010, thanks for the info :thankyou: You r good at this :boogie:
How about ACSI? Would u know?

The verses u quoted are indeed what i remind myself each day, hope they encourage u too, cheers :celebrate:

Someone who works in NYGH told me earlier this year tt only 25 GEPers joined the school this year. The cut off will always appear high in NYGH cos those girls from NY Pri sch with t-score of 250 can get entry to NYGH leaving limited places to the rest. Whereas, RGS is purely meritocratic.

Heard that NUSH teacher student ratio is only 1:10. Is it similar for other schools?

10 students to a class. Really?

8228, did you mean teacher to student ratio or students in a class?

The about 25 or less is the class size.

No idea about the total number of teachers to total number of students ratio. Sorry.
