How about for RGS? Can she apply for CL domain? She scored 94 for P4 overall result,82 for P5 overall and 85 for SA in P6.I would lyk to know her chance
Your DD must first sit for the GAT and get shortlisted. Then, according to RGS' DSA website, shortlisted applicants with special talents in the Academic and Visual Art Domain (depending on which domain your DD applies under) will attend half-day selection tests.
What is her special talent in the Academic domain? The common ones cited in this forum seem to be winning national if not international level competitions.
My personal opinion is that DSA is for those who have special talent which is defined by the school one applies to. Unless you want the DSA experience and do not mind managing the time required to prepare for it (hopefully not at the expense of prepping for PSLE), as well as the emotions (positive or otherwise) that come with it, the best route to top schools for consistent performers is still PSLE. -

sorry it does not look very promising, but you can always apply under CL domain, try your best for GAT, hope to get into second round on selection test in CL ..... but was told the questions were very tough -
Eh CL.........not promising??? :yikes: what's promising then?izzit lyk 95+????

94, then 82, then 85 ...... not catching up .... to be promising, it has to be at least 90 and above CONSISTENTLY -
Applying under academic domain means that subject applying for must have exceptionally good results - comparing with other applicants and on a nationwide level. It would be good if other than school results, there are competition wins, certificates etc. It is not easy, as there are only a handful of candidates selected for each domain.

My DS applied under Maths Domain last year with almost full marks in P4, 5 & 6... U hv to supplement with national level competitions like SMOPS or RIWPS to outstand your DC among the applicants so as to be short listed... It's also depend on the schools since the level of difficulty differ... :imsorry: -

know of one kid, HCL always above 90 throughout P4/5/6, DSA at RI under CL domain, still did not make it, even though eventually his PSLE t-score was 27X. of course not in RI now -

He went to HCI instead ?[/quote]If this is so, I think he/god has chosen the right place for himself/him. HCI has 语特 and 双文化 that will definitely give lots of exposure and opportunity in Chinese language when he enter sec 3.
