Hi Foreverfriends, there's no fixed schedule of when you should start looking around. It's really all up to you and your child. In my case, I think I started in P5 - making him/her be aware that every school has varying strength(s) and also have the kid to start thinking what he/she wants to have in his/her dream school.

The list of schools participating in DSA can be found in http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/dsa-sec/participating-schools/. This list varies by the year.

There r many sch offering dsa.
E better sch in e east r temasek jc (ip only), dunman high (ip only), Anglican high, chung cheng high, tanjong katong sec

my dd wil b joinin tjc, 6yr ip prog in 2013
do ref to e earlier discussions in here, they r realy informative

basicaly, mi n dd r lookin forward to a more excitin, interestin learning environment/culture, not e 'i talk, u listen' type

ur ds is in p2 nw, it might b abit early to tel whether ip is for him yet
lest u can do, keep his scores consistent fr p4 - p6, say ard min 85% & above
u & ds wil ve a good chance to consider/to b considered, for ip when e time comes

Do you mean TJC is new to DSA? Just started DSA cum IP? Therefore not in the list?

So early, you already know your dd will be joining TJC in 2013. That's great!

I didn't go through the posts in this thread cause so many posts from the start Will heed your advice and go through them slowly

Before I join this thread, I have TJC, VS, Nan Chiau High and Duman High in mind But I know nothing abt DSA. My neighbour advise me that I have to start looking and see what is the ECA requirement of the sec school so that I can enroll for son for the required ECA when he is in P3 next yr. That's how I come to this thread
