Applying under academic domain means that subject applying for must have exceptionally good results - comparing with other applicants and on a nationwide level. It would be good if other than school results, there are competition wins, certificates etc. It is not easy, as there are only a handful of candidates selected for each domain.

          Eh CL.........not promising??? :yikes: what's promising then?izzit lyk 95+????

My DS applied under Maths Domain last year with almost full marks in P4, 5 & 6... U hv to supplement with national level competitions like SMOPS or RIWPS to outstand your DC among the applicants so as to be short listed... It's also depend on the schools since the level of difficulty differ... :imsorry:

for DSA under acad domain and in CL, it has to be consistent high scores at HCL level

know of one kid, HCL always above 90 throughout P4/5/6, DSA at RI under CL domain, still did not make it, even though eventually his PSLE t-score was 27X. of course not in RI now

actually he is no lover of CL, just that he 'geng' to DSA under CL, hopefully it was easier as it was less popular ..... but still, as has been mentioned again and again, that school's DSA is not a matter of supply and demand -- they pitch at specific and at very high standard, regardless of subject domain. don't meet the standard won't get it, even if it means zero CO under that domain

See so many interested in only RI/HCI familes. Just have one advice, if your kids still unable to clear 265 in their mid-term exam despite trying all out and hve been attending numerous tuitions, suggest you look elsewhere.

Its not pleasant to be at the bottom 20% of RI/HCI! One can achieve their aspirations in other IP schools.
