Crescent girls is better. They always get band 1.

NHHS only got band 1 in the recent years because of the PRC scholars, with 30 of them all getting stellar results (expected lar).
Besides, CGS is value added. You got in not so good, you’ll come out good. My friend got 241+1, went CGS, got 9-2 for o levels.
You go NHHS, you’ll rot there because of complacency. I got a friend who got 252, but in o levels got net 17 for L1R5. See?
NHHS sucks. I really hated it. The school’s "environment" is not good. People very bimbo, and slack. Not hardworking. Teachers suck too. Good thing I escaped to Hwa Chong–but credit goes to my tuition teachers, not NHHS.
HI to all kiasu parents, my elder child is in a Dilemma whether to choose CRESCENT GIRLS' or NAN HUA HIGH SCHOOL as she is given the opportunity to choose either of these schools. However,in order for my DD to enter Crescent, we have to take up uniform group as one of the CCA. 😞 [heard that uniform groups are very tiring].Hence,We would really appreciate it if any parent has children in either of these schools and is willing to call us to clear our doubts via 96271176. Thank you very much! 😄

HELPLESSmother 😞

Crescent seems to be good experiecne so far. They have tablet PC programs/ e-books , so if your child is compter savvy, IT career is definitly on Cards. There will be breifing this Saturday !

My DD is anyway opting for 'Uniform Groups' as it help in deducting 2 points . She doesn't have HMT , so must collect 2 deduction point to enter good JC.

Thank you, Dad of girl. 🙂 Good luck to your girl too.... .... (hope she can get the deduction)

Ya, my girl is in Crescent and she seems to like the environment there too. Part of the credit also goes to those kiasu parents who had voted for Crescent. 😎 My DD is also interested in Uniform Group. 🙂 Your DD should be in sec. one too, since you mentioned that there would a breifing this Saturday. May I know what class is your DD is in???
:? My DD is in class 1C1.
Crescent is quite a good school. 100% of their students qualified for JC for 3 years running. and they even have WIIs in their school. library is 2 levels. canteen food is quite nice too. Uniformed groups are not very tiring. in fact, the more gruelling ccas would be dance and band. however, crescent's dance and band are very veyr good: every year at syf get gold with honours one. 😄

My friend is thinking of CGS for her P6 daughter, she wanted to know
1. how the CGS teachers are like?
2. how the CGS pricipal is like?
3. what are CGS's strong departments?

Thank you 🙂

MEP has started last year only.... so i don't know, if you will get a reply. Otherwise school is fair to eveyone... You will have homogenous batch with COP of 240 to 255 & everyone will get two years to prove their strength before SEc2 streaming.

It has Tablet PC program which i guess supports e- learning . With plenty of exercises on the school website, weaker students can download & practice until become perfect... this is advantage for 'Un-maths' students.... no so much for students lagging in Languages. But there are good teachers for English & Literature which will benefit students.

All in all , great infrasturucture with good teachings... very disciplined school... You cannot be late & there are demerit points for breaking rules.

My DD got-in last year with COP of 240 & this year result has maintained( just got final year result) . Keeping fingers crossed , she does well in Sec2 & o-levels
