Sigh, looks like this 'tu mei' is very persistent, so let this quack 'Shi Fu' give you some advice on bun making, but don't blame me if my advice is no good hor!
1) For bun making, first dump all the ingredients into the machine as you would for bread.
2) Set to \"Sweet\" function.
3) When it beeps, stop and reset the machine.
4) Set to \"Dough\" function and let it knead.
5) After the kneading is done, take the dough out, give it a 'good massage' and then portion into small portions. Don't have to worry about shaping yet.
6) Rest for half an hour or so.
7) Shape, fill with fillings, egg wash and bake.
8 ) Tada, delicious homemade buns, fresh from the oven!

You mean, just dump all ingredients and we can get freshly baked bread? No need to knead dough, let it rise etc? :shock: :shock: This is fantastic!!! :celebrate:

Actually the texture of the bread is soft and fluffy compared to the commerically available ones and after eating one slice, you just want more. One loaf in my house cannot last more than 2 days so we bake a loaf on alternate days. I check if I have any photos or not.

Yes, you can just dump all the ingredients based on the recommended order. I used the delay function and I get the warm bread in the morning. However, as bread improver is not used, the bread is best eaten on the same day. Sometimes, i make french toast if I have remaining bread.

May I know if you are also using Zojirushi? I cannot decide what brand to buy. Don't want to spend so much on a breadmaker only to realise it becomes a white elephant a few months later.

Happy Mama, if you buy a bread maker, best to make every other dayβ¦then the machine will work very well. I find machines not used will break down faster. So it cannot be white elephant if you are ready to bake bread.
