ksi, you must have missed my previous post about slicing the bread. Don’t blame you since this thread has been moving pretty fast. How do you slice yours? I always have a problem slicing them evenly and that’s one reason why I seldom bake loaves. I am more into buns.

Oh yes I missed your post. I use the henkels knife to slice it, it's very sharp so it is easily done. I believe there are also special bread knives we can buy to slice bread. I let you know when I see it.
Also you must let it cool down substantially before slicing otherwise too soft and it will affect the slice evenness.
I haven't tried sweet bread yet cos gotta bake in the oven again and I have not studied the recipe in detail
Oh but I remember you baked the buns for your kite flying picnic!!!

How much did Bluesky cost you?
Oh Bluesky was such a steal, it was only about $59.90 or $69.90 only. Now you understand my angst over this Zojirushi when I am not clear if it can do a job as well as Bluesky. -

Okay, thanks for the tips, will be on the look out for henkels knives so can revert to my freshly baked loaves! I used a so-call bread slicing knife, but that didn't really do the trick, so gave up baking loaves in the end.
Like you said, I miss the aroma of freshly baked bread in the house! Alamak, die liao! All thanks to this thread, now my hands are itching for freshly baked bread and homemade kaya! :?:
Oh yes, you should give those buns a try! Worth the effort and we get to decide how much filling goes into them! :celebrate: -

Totally agree that the Bluesky was a steal for that price! I bought my first Bluesky at $59.90 too and the best part was that the blade got stuck one month before the warranty expired and when I called up Carrefour, they told me that they no longer had the $59.90 model for sale and asked me to bring my machine down, topped up a bit more and they gave me a brand new Bluesky, the newer stainless steel model! :celebrate: That was very nice gesture and customer service. -

Wah you so lucky!! Got a double steal!!! Mine lasted a few years(3-4? with heavy usage) and finally kaput. -

Yes, that was a double steal for that Bluesky and I am still impressed by what Carrefour did! Think my first $59.90 also died of constant abuse by my heavy baking!

Hi, after reading all your posts, I'm so tempted to buy the Bluesky bread maker. Can it only be found in Carrefour? Anywhere else that carries this brand? Many thanks
