      phtthp:
are there any kids here whose RAD ballet exam is held in May, instead of clear by end by April 2016 ?

is there a last date (if any), to conduct RAD ballet exam ?
Your DD ballet exam in May? I heard of ballet exam in May but seems mostly for more senior girls.

For Ms Blue's girls, her exams are scheduled from April 11 - April 30. My DD's exam is on April 13 at 10am. Her reporting time is at 8.30am where she will get her hairdo done.

            micollh:

participated 2 years back for the RAD summer class. they only gave a summer class pink t-shirt which is way too small. no extra costume needed. they asked for the normal leotard of their grade and character skirt/shoes. which are thing they already have. the performance venue is the same. as parents, I don't see anything so great about it. but to my child and her friends, they enjoyed it very much. the teaches are from UK, guess their coaching is different from their usual teacher and more fun. A good exposure I would say. Haven decided to join this year or not as the performance date clash with out travelling date. sob

So it is not worth paying more to buy the performance tickets?

I don't think the tickets are expensive, as we bought from our ballet school. of course we want to see our daughter dancing/perform after the whole week of the summer class.. wont you? even though they might not see us, as they r on the stage and so many audience below..

But I try to be more practical... if not worth it, maybe the money is better spent buying the DVD instead? Frankly, do you think the show is worth the watch?

Check out Dance Theatre Arts http://www.dancetheatrearts-sg.com. Located at Cairnhill CC in Newton. Great Early childhood dance and movement program for children, beginning at 18 months. Kids easily bridge into RAD. The emphasis on the open syllabus really help my older daughter improve fast. Talented students have done well at local and international festival and competitions. Pleasant, vibrant and nurturing school environment. Solid pre-school dance department!!! Do check them out.

Is this a dance or a ballet school?

Students are well trained in ballet. The school also offers other dancestyles. Very versatile dancers.
