Hi! U can check which ballet school allow trial lesson, for grade 5,let teacher assess her andHi everyone, this is my first time on this site so I might sound slightly awkward.
My friend has a daughter in sec 1 and she wants to join ballet again. She had quit when she was p4 and was at cstd grade 4. What should she do?
Tyia
See whether her standard suits g5,& they can accept her?
Fyi, Attitude Dance studio at bt timah plaza allow free trial,if u decide to sign up after teacher assess and say can accept her, then the trial lesson is payable together with fees ..
If teacher says not suitable to join,or u decide not to join the class, then no need to pay for the trial class..
After trial for g5,U can also opt to trial other class Eg grade 4,to see whether the pace is more suitable..then decide which level to join..
Hope this helps!
(Disclaimer: i have no connection with Attitude Dance..merely sharing what i know for benefit of others as my gal had benefitted from their trial scheme..as i had a lot of trouble finding alternative ballet schools for her..able to go trial also can let student see whether they can adapt to teacher’s style of teaching, which is important in my opinion..) -

Hi,
here are some tips for picking a good ballet academy:
- qualifications and teaching (not just dancing) experience
- full fledged programme which is detailed out
- programmes dedicated to your child's age group and experience
- state of the facilities (safety!)
Took this from a https://youngdancersacademy.com.sg/2017/09/19/things-to-look-for-before-you-choose-a-ballet-dance-school/ blog.
Disclosure: this blog belongs to a ballet academy in the west of Singapore. -
Hi
I would like to find out more about grade 6 / IF exams. May I know after grade 5,
1. Is it go for IF exam after one year , followed by grade 6 exam after half a year?
Or
2. IF exam after one year followed by grade 6 one year later?
Or
3. Need to Choose to do either one only, after one year
Or
4. Do both exams concurrently after one year?
I’ve just heard various combinations and was wondering why, can anyone share which is the route your dd has taken, and why, and what was teacher’s explanation for the route chosen? Thank you very much. -
It depends on the teacher’s schedule and the student available time to attend classes. My DD just taken Grade 6 RAD exam and may be doing IF end of the year. This is provided the teacher can complete the syllabus in time for the IF exam. If not, she will take Grade 7 and IF next year.

My DD also taking 2 exams this year, grade 7 in early April and Intermediate in Sept.

My DD also wants to rejoin but she was in CSTD Grade 2 and is now secondary 3. The previous teacher she had stopped teaching and went overseas. Is there a age limit for the grade? Any recommendations for good ballet/dance schools/teachers near Ang Mo Kio?Hi everyone, this is my first time on this site so I might sound slightly awkward.

They have ballet classes for teenagers and working adults. Very passionate teachers and small class size. DD loves to attend classes in Wings to Wings, their teachers always helpful and patient. -
The best place to attend ballet classes may be at CCs whereby course fees are relatively cheaper compared to private schools. Most CC teachers are extremely experienced, having taught there for years…
