      Hi

I would like to find out more about grade 6 / IF exams. May I know after grade 5,
      1. Is it go for IF exam after one year , followed by grade 6 exam after half a year?
      Or
      2. IF exam after one year followed by grade 6 one year later?
      Or
      3. Need to Choose to do either one only, after one year
      Or
      4. Do both exams concurrently after one year?

I’ve just heard various combinations and was wondering why, can anyone share which is the route your dd has taken, and why, and what was teacher’s explanation for the route chosen? Thank you very much.

It depends on the teacher’s schedule and the student available time to attend classes. My DD just taken Grade 6 RAD exam and may be doing IF end of the year. This is provided the teacher can complete the syllabus in time for the IF exam. If not, she will take Grade 7 and IF next year.

Hi everyone, this is my first time on this site so I might sound slightly awkward.

My friend has a daughter in sec 1 and she wants to join ballet again. She had quit when she was p4 and was at cstd grade 4. What should she do?

My DD also wants to rejoin but she was in CSTD Grade 2 and is now secondary 3. The previous teacher she had stopped teaching and went overseas. Is there a age limit for the grade? Any recommendations for good ballet/dance schools/teachers near Ang Mo Kio?

              Check this out

              https://www.wingstowingsdance.com/about

They have ballet classes for teenagers and working adults. Very passionate teachers and small class size. DD loves to attend classes in Wings to Wings, their teachers always helpful and patient.

The best place to attend ballet classes may be at CCs whereby course fees are relatively cheaper compared to private schools. Most CC teachers are extremely experienced, having taught there for years…

Would like to seek feedback about Cheng Ballet. My girl currently now there and I quite like the environment. The teacher very professional as well. However, my main concern is that they do not follow the standard international exams such as RAD or CSTD. They have their own internal exam starting at Grade 1. My concern is if my girl stay with them, will she be recognised by other schools if somehow she decide to switch or will she have a problem applying for DSA since DSA require CSTD or RAD as basic requirement?

Anyone can advise? I’m thinking very long already and still not sure if I should not risk it and let my girl go to a recognise certification instead…

Depends on your objective. If it is just to let her learn an interest she likes, then is ok. If your intention is on the possibility of DSA, yes, do go for schools with the commonly recognized certification.
