      MelodyMelody:
      Hi,

My tod gal is with Megan for a few sessions, and I stopped the therapy with her last year. My tod gal was in tears while I am beside her during the lessons.

I find the therapist lack the patience and the skills in getting young toddlers to open up to them. Megan will raise her voice and sometimes flare up if my tod gal do not respond to her nor her question. Megan also did not attempt to build up a rapport with my tod before she starts her 1st therapy session. I rememered her being very defensive and angry when I feedbacked to her at the end of the 1st lesson, that perhaps she could try to smile and have more eye contact with my tod to build some rapport just like my pd. I regretted bringing my tod to Megan though she is recommended by the pd.

Megan may have successful stories on her website with her therapy sessions but mine is one that is far from that..imagine the negative impact done to my tod. She resisted therapy sessions and even doctor sessions done in a confine room from then onwards
My kid was with her for a few session and i don see any improvement at all though he did enjoy the lesson by playing. The fee is not cheap to be very frank.

        Dear MelodyMelody, chubby08,

Thank you for your feedback. I was curious after reading through some notes by her as a speech therapist. She sounds very experienced and professional. But some of these professionals may lack compassion and patience after working so long in their industry…

          Hi,

I stopped my boy with her after tried few months. At first she quite patience to encourage my boy to talk..after few sessions with her, she requested us to sign up for the class (with other kids). first session, the therapist only let them play around ( introduce everyone ) but whole session, my boy din talk any word.

2nd and 3rd times, old friend drop and new friends coming, introduce each other again..the therapist only spent 15mins talk and play to my boy..end up my boy only playing the Thomas train during the class.

I also feedback to Megan, I need individual session more than the class one..but she keep intend ask my boy to join the class and said benefit to him as have friend learn together..

After few months, I felt that this therapy session din benefit to my boy 🙂

I would avoid going to Leo Magan. They are very money-minded. Some examples: collecting fees before the session starts, collecting fees in advance in order to book your next slot, refusing rescheduling if you have not paid for the next session. If the focus is about them earning more money for themselves, it says a lot.
