In-law problems?

I was the photographer, mah... at that point I was probably listening too intently or cried, or had a bucketful of tears in my eyes... after the wedding my friend asked me, ey... how come got one gap no photos? :yikes: Luckily, I was only one of the three appointed photographers.
Hmm... probably will never get hubs into a church ... and if he does goto one, he will purposely switch off or try to retaliate every single word that pastor said, because he is not open minded about religions. :siao: -

My pil are very messy
How how? I try numerous time to pack the living room, kitchen, but after 2 weeks, become messy again.
I cannot tolerate any messy areas. I will become very frustrated. Now, i just close both eyes, but cannot solve the problems. -
Not only messy....
When my kids are small, they get sick easily as they disliked to drink water. I told PIL to stop giving them sweets n chocolates as they always eat a lot. Then, my PIL gave them secretly n tell them not to tell mummy. When i found out, my kids told me that ah gong n ah ma say cannot tell mummy. :siam: Now, they are bigger, my mil will give them other food. But the problem is..... My mil do not like to keep cook food in fridge, either is her fridge is fully packed or she think otherwise. She like to buy cooked food at 12pm n give it to my kids at 6pm...... Imagine the amt of bacteria.....
i told her so many time that cooked food are not to be consumed after 4 hrs at room temperature... She never listen n continue to offer to my kids.... N sometimes, she left the ba chang, cream puff or other cooked food overnight on dining table n offer to my kids in the morning. Of cos, i freak out. In the end, i resorted telling my kids not to accept cooked food, cos i do not know how my mil handle them. Now, she gave it to them when i am not around. -
food kept at room temperature breeds bacteria...that's how food contamination comes about...hubby buys breakfast for his parents every sun, left overs are left on the table until lunch or dinner :faint:
fridge is empty, don't even have egg inside. reason for leaving on the table - lazy to heat up.
sil went up one sunday...left to buy something for them...when she u-turned to pass to them, they were shocked bcos she was puffing away like chimney and the other one was drinking. 2 of them stinge on food - $3 for economy rice, shared by both...not bcos no money, but to spend the money on cigarettes and stout. hubby, the favourite son, told his mother to cut down on smoking, she retorted, 'might as well i jump down'. -

Janet, i can never get the pt across to my mil that food need to be kept in fridge if it is not consumed immediately. I am fine if she is eating it as she has been doing it all her life. But dont feed that to my kids. I will be the one suffering with my kids if they are sick..... Why don't you get your in-laws some Tupperware or food savers and demo to them to store leftovers in these boxes and put them in fridge? Old people are sometimes like kids, they get the point when given proper demo on how you want things done. Also try abstaining from cooking or buying more food than you can consume, then no worries over eating food that is contaminated due to improper storage.

Some may simply ignore. MIL has stayed with us for last 4 years. There are many many things they are very stubborn. MIL would leave her fried stuff uncovered overnight. Next day just warm up to eat. Since I can't change her behaviour, I have instead instructed my kids to not accept those food. MIL not happy but she can't force them to eat (not when they are older now). There are many many others things that we clash, I'm too tired to type about it liao. Just let her be & I find other ways to avoid/fix.

My mil has tons of tupperware, but she is not using. Not that she do not know, but rather, is her habit. She had been buying food at 12pm for the past 20 -30 yrs n had kept them in this way on the dinning table, eating them at night for dinner. My hb n sil also eat the same food, so they think i am crazy, to get so upset abt food that is kept for more than 4 hrs at room temperature. But the issues are, i have food posioning fm eating the food.
Strangely enough, my mil like to buy more than what she can consume, then kept in fridge one day later, n throw them out after mths n mths in fridge.now, i swear never to eat the food that she bought -
At least your kids know n do not accept the food. My kids, not matter how i instructed them not to accept the food, they never follow, n since i am staying with in laws, they always gives the food to the kids secretly.
