Don't think it's that simple. The form we have is just the application form, then they will send an authorisation form with instruction on how to open CDA.

Procedure similar to when you open an CDA account for your other kid..

submit form, the bank will send the form.. you need to decide which bank... then when account is ready.. just wait for the $$..

Erm... 1 kid only lah...
if I remember correctly, last time CDA was under Bank A when it first started... then change to other Banks... so have to re-submit?
Those with Yr2005 kid facing this too?

Trying to recall 5 years ago event, for DD1 (2005 bb), we could indicate which bank we wanted the moolah to come in. and it was tied to our own account, no? the forms were given and the parents had to head down to the bank with the forms and indicate you are the rightful owner of the account. bank will submit to mcys. mcys approve. moolah comes in for the cash bonus.

so for 2005 bb, we have to open a specific CDA account I guess which is so troublesome. understand they dont want the money to used on other things except for kids education etc

I have yet to receive the letter for DD1 (2005) , I have already received the $$ for DD2 though...

One of the mummies called MCYS and they said the letters are delayed. we should be receiving within the next 1 - 2 weeks

For yr 2005 kids, they don't have a CDA account.. :sad: that year.. the 1 to 1 contribution was not implemented yet...

Thus, your yr2005 kid will need to open an account to receive the $$ :evil:

AS for others, yes used to be POSB.. but they no longer have this .. so now only OCBC and SC (if I am correct) have this facility..

Initially, they mentioned the dealine is end July.. but now we are receiving the form later than the anticipated date, they mentioned the $$ will be credited when the account is ready latest by end of the year..
