Zoophonics

Hi,
I have started my gal at zoophonics in Oct and she enjoy the lessons very much. The admin lady can remember all the kids name which I am very impressed though when I called the centre she doesn't sound friendly. haha
The chinese teacher Ms Liu conducting N1 weekend class is friendly and takes good care of all the kids.
Parents should give this centre a try

I started my 2.5 year old at the Thomson Branch in Nov, can’t say much for the admin staff - brusque is an understatement
My child’s currently in the unaccompanied weekend class, so I don’t have much oversight of what it being done in the class except through the workbooks that she brings back every week. However, she’s been singing some of the songs taught in the class, knows some of the letter sounds and seems quite happy to go there every weekend. We’ll probably place her there for at least a few more months so she can settle down and we can make a better evaluation… -
Hi All,
Just to share there is a increase in school fees from $120-$140…everything seems to be increasing in an increasing rates except salary

Hi all,
perhaps you should explore other reading enrichment options. I came across a flyer one day. Seems like there is a new preschool cum enrichment centre opening beside Thomson Plaza in Jan 2013. They provide reading enrichment programme as well, and this programme is from Australia and its partially an online lesson. I think the name is \"Reading Eggs\".
My 3-yr-old kid went for their trial and enjoyed the lesson, cos he got to learn to read the words through online games and activities. I've brought him around many places but he didn't quite like the \"worksheets-and-reading\" approach in those schools. So, in the end, I've signed him up for the reading class at \"Giving Tre3\" in Jan 2013. Besides having the online lessons, the teachers will also conduct activities in the classroom. I think there will be a good balance.
They having opening promo now. Got waiver off registration fees and discounts too. And they have informed me that they are holding a Opening Party this coming Sat 26 Jan, 9am to 1pm. Looking at the programme, the kids are going to have loads of fun, playing games and making new friends!
You may want to check out the centre on their FB:

thanks alot! -
Hi
Any comments on teacher Deen/Deem from Zoo/Bt Timah or on their 3yo enrichment curriculum there? Thanks -
I decided to enrol my 2-yr-old boy in the thomson zoophonics on my colleague’s recommendation. but have to say i was disappointed. my boy attended lessons there for the last few months but we decided to pull him out coz’ we didn’t find the English teachers (the usual Eng teacher and her cover teacher who took the class in her absence) very good. they don’t seem to be passionate about what they do, nor are they really into kids.
i remember one lesson where the teacher was reading a story to the toddlers and she was using words that are not simple enough for their understanding. i just find them not engaging enough.
