VB probably not too pleased with dis appointment.
He will be happier with a higher profile post like FM,
but his tendency for verbal gaffes may be a risk too many.

 you've just answered your :whut: ????.

hope the papers will keep us in the loop and not hushed hushed.

if this is true, our country is definitely going the same way as many of our neighbours - unless the cpib is able to act independently and prosecute those guilty ones. not just catch the prawns must get the lobsters as well.

wonder if the mp was awared of the conflict of interest. if yes, and yet approved the contract, then really :yikes:

Sim Ann is also appointed MoS in Ed Min.
2 brand new office holders parachute into Ed Min.
Think she is a mother with 2 young children? Could be a good thing, right?

Headache #2 : Can Khaw handle national development ? will he asks us to buy property in Malaysia using CPF ?

Better still, will he ask those who cannot afford HDB to book into nursing homes in JB early since nursing homes would be the final home for our generation ?

Haha. Between MBT and KBW, MBT makes more sense. Most Singaporeans do benefit from the rising property prices though it may not be good to have property prices rise at the rate it did. And most younger Singaporeans do also benefit eventually when they inherit their parent's flat.

On the other hand, KBW is telling those who are not poor enough to get subsidy to send their folks to JB. And these are the minority who pay taxes. Their taxes are used to pay for old folk homes for others' (ie non- taxpayers) parents, subsidising foreign students etc while they themselves are left out in the cold. After paying taxes, why should Singaporeans be penalised by all sorts of means testing when they need help (and are say, prepared to stay in a C class ward)?

He or we? May not be the same. Or may need to bid and pay for a COE that cost more than the current price of flat before you qualify.

must be somewhere in JB, with attached funeral parlor cum crematorium.
and $8 is only cash payment hor, remainder still must deducted from CPF.
