My gal got some results back. English 43/50, science 73/80. How do I know what band since it's not over 100??
For English, is this only the written paper? If yes, then there are other components to add on to eg. oral, LC, compo, spelling and dictation etc... depending on school. If not, then just convert it to 100%, it would be 86%.
For Science, could there be a 20% for daily work, tests, CA1 or practical? Again if not, then convert to 100%, she scores 91.25%.
Congrats! Based on raw scores, she has Band 1 for both subjects.

Hi peapot,
You just double the marks for English, so it becomes 86/100 which is band 1 and Science will be slightly above 91/100 so band 1 for that too! Congrats!!peapot:

Wow! I'm very impressed with your children's english results!
May I ask fellow mummies how did ur child manage to score so high (eg. Band 1) for english paper 2? A flair for english language or any special tactics?
My ds got 33/50.
Vocab, grammar mcq, fill in blanks etc all got full marks but
Lost those precious marks in the following sections:
6 marks in MCQ compre,
7 marks in OE compre and
4 marks in cloze passage.
Any suggestion to improve his grade in paper 2? Really at a lost at these sections..... Thanks! -
Oh tks, I know her common test result fro science. Guess I would just add it up. Many thanks.
