I loved Hikosen Cara when I was younger, those colourful cotton catty ones from Takashimaya basement.. I used to buy them from HK, Bangkok and Taipei as well... šŸ˜„

Ostrich skin is nice...I dont like crocodile and snake...get the creeps.

Ostrich darkens over time especially on the handles. That is why so many ladies like to wrap their bag handles with ribbons or scarves.

I saw this TV program about croc/snake/ostrich handbags...seems for ostrich there is only a certain part of the skin which can be used...like the little protruding 'dotty'. Saw a lady carrying an ostrich skin bag. Nice.

If you cant travel to Europe, online shopping or GSS sale is the next best thing u can get. šŸ•ŗ
As the stores have indicated \"end of season sale\", so the sale is usu on seasonal designs, not so on the LATEST or their Classic designs.
Actually, summer sale in Hong Kong can be better than GSS.

Actually, if you dress like a trendy 20-something, this bag will look very in.

Otherwise, can look like an aunty...

So your DH must have thought that you look more like trendy 20-something to buy you bag lah. šŸ˜„
I am thinking of getting a branded bag.

I have been working all these years diligently and realized that I really did not pamper myself much. As such, i decided that from this year onwards, I will start to spend more and be more relax about savings.

My budget is $1000, what do you think I should get? I know of many brands that easily exceed that sum, but this is the maximum I would pay for a bag.....

Do you consider Burberry as branded? I think you would be able to find a good selection at that budget.

Yes Burberry is definitely branded (at least to me). But it cost much more than $1000.... Unless you are referring to Burberry blue label. I think can only get Burberry blue label in Japan.

I did some shopping and see that for my budget, only Coach, Kate Spade Longchamp or Agnes B. I saw some nice designs for Coach, wonder whether the leather is lasting?
I'm not referring to the blue label. Do they cost more than $1000? Mine didn't, but maybe this was few years back. Usually, there is a 30% discount at Taka during GSS. Maybe you can wait for the GSS to shop for your bag.
