Need advice on DVD player

Need to replace DVD player but am lost with the functionalities like R+ or R- and blu-ray. Only need one that plays DVD and can record TV programmes.
Please advise. Thank you. -
If you want to record TV programs, get 1 with HDD inside. Guess Panasonic got a few models. And less hassle with DVD disks…
Most HDD recorder will be able to play and record DVDs too. Panasonic DVD-RAM recorder can play and record simultaneously. Meaning you can watch the beginning of the show while it is still airing and recording, or watch a show while recording another. The DVD-RAM disk will be more expensive thou, but supposingly more lasting. -

just a question can those dvd players with recording function be able to work with mio tv?

They work with Starhub cable TV, so no reason they wouldn’t work with mio.
