standard in centre 1 seems much better but security wise. it is just unlocked.. I went in unannounced...
Am just concern about the cramp space for both centre.
Also you able to judge the standard of tuition in centre 1?
which is another worry point for me. CC always lock their main door.
it could be me who is bothered with little things and comparing it with CC... -

hehe.. SV won't go into single session so soon le.. from the way others comment..
DD1 doesn't have nap but more of flexibility especially if it turns to morning session. a quick nap will be nice.Castle House:
Errr.. thought when they are in Primary.. should have no nap le.. Mine has passed through the nap period.. he had not been taking his nap since this year onwards..
We did think of enrichment class.. but logistics will be an issue.. who is going to send him there.. and pick him up...
Still thinking and considering..
Enrichment during school holidays? Oh going for those 9-5pm type
If we only send him during school holidays, I will find it quite disruptive for him to adapt to new environment... new friends... new Teachers... :slapshead: -

my friend very drastic, already cancel cartoon channels this mth! i can't bear to do it, i feel kids r still kids. they deserve to have fun. pity my mum, wait end up she also got no TV to watch.
My worry also...if let him stay at home, he will watch TV all day.tigger88:

i juz kpo ask teacher huileng for the brochure to compare.
imagine so much playtime, even waterplay. i think my DS will enjoy if send him there.
but likely send to my mum's place, FOC. need to cancel all his SCV cartoon channel if he dun do his hmwork first.
[/quote]When my DH not at home, sometimes my kids do not have TV time. But when DH is at home, they will have TV time. TV induce beta brainwaves. When I reduced the TV time over time I find that my DS and DD focus are better. Just sharing.

My friend's boy successfully ballot into Kong Hwa 4 yrs ago. Wishes the same happen to you!Hi all, nice to meet u all here..
Happen to chance upon this thread while browsing around the forum abt pri school n P1 registration.
I have a 6yo boy (Sep 2005) and a 2yo gal (July 2009).
M super stress now regards to the P1 registration also.
I stay ard paya lebar area n wanted to reg Kong Hwa as i m within 1km.
But they always ballot for this phase so m not too sure whether to take the risk or not.
My back up plan is Tanjong Katong Pri as i m 1-2km n there is no balloting for this phase judging from the past history.
Anybody registering for the same school?

yah, too much of anything is no good. i'm couch potato, so find it very cruel to stop my DS from watching.

i'm guilty of letting DS watch too much tv pgm. but that's the only way i can get some 'me' time. :sad:lol i cancelled mine...when i shifted place

@NH, not bad with teacher, as long as help with school hw / revision, think good enough. But so much fried stuff on the menu, Is 30 students a standard size outside too? sorry I so picky.
in NH, i think ard 30 kids per class. there will be teacher with them. no additional hmwork from the student care. menu include nasi lemak, fried rice, fried noodles etc.SAHM_TAN:
@NH any teachers / tutors for homework and revision? What's the menu like?
For CC, when the child is in P2, P3,....will the time for homework increase? Or during SA, CA period, will they increase hw / revision time? Since it's CC any tutors to help with hw/revision?
in CC, i think they will offer tuition lesson. so it's up to you to sign up. Not sure if hmwork time will increase or not. the one i checked, in P5/P6, parents can opt to send the kids 2 days per wk or 3 days per wk, due to CCA commitment. fee will be reduced then.
@CC, in P1 1 hr for hw, think ok lah but should increase during CA, SA period and as go higher level should increase too. The water play part, I'm just concern about HFMD. -
Tokidoki:
If I stop DS1, I have to stop DD and DS2 too. The younger ones sure protest and whine...Guess tough to stop totally but since the younger ones are going to cc full day by next year, I guess controlling DS1's TV time during day time might be ok.SAHM_TAN:
