She was nowhere to be seen during recess, appearing only at the assembly point after recess. The move back to class was chaotic and she kept misplacing her kids even dragging the wrong kid to her class. We peeked into the class for a while when we were leaving the school, the kids were just seated doing nothing. When I asked DS after school what happened in class, he said nothing. They did nothing but some colouring and the teacher only told them how to greet her and scolded the more mischevious ones and nothing else. He kept complaining that it was so boring.
Curious, how was the teacher non-engaging? The form teacher was busy organizing the P1 to their school bus, making sure the parents are there to fetch the kids.Funz:
DH and I had our concerns when we saw the form teacher during the orientation but we thought, give it some time. But what we saw today did not help to assure us in any way. Haiz... still we say, give the tchr the benefit of a doubt, it is afterall only the 1st day of school. Just can't shake the feeling that this tchr is the non-engaging type. :sad:
Our experience with DD 2 yrs ago was way different. Her response was also way different. Then again, she is in a different school. :razz:
We had a chance to meet with the form and language teacher during orientation. They each did a presentation on their area of focus. The form teacher basically read off the powerpoint slides, no elaboration, limited eye contact and we had to ask her to speak louder a few times cos she was facing the projector screen most of the time. She was suppose to explain to parents what Stellar was all about but she herself seemed unsure as to what Stellar was all about. -

Day 2 of P1....super tiring....eyes wanna close liao....Day 1 caught in jam outside DS1 school for 30 mins :scared: ....today...5 mins earlier...NO JAM :shock: -

i was’nt in DS school yesterday too…school dun allow…either let DS alight @ drop-off point or DS will walk in from the side entrance (near bus-stop).
DS1 is in MSH(P)…along Bartley road…so 1st day jam from moment turn into Bartley road @ 6.45am…today we reached same stretch at 6.40am…SMOOTH like baby’s bottom… I learnt from talking to another parent at DS ASC that must reach before 6.45am otherwise must prepare to wait…
