Thanks for your advice. I will try to hypnotise myself and match her pace. Just feeling a bit kan cheong about the primary school thing.SAHM_TAN:
@SAHM_TAN I really tried but I get very frustrated doing it. You see I am a perfectionist. I expect DD to be able to recognize the chinese character after I go through with her. While her enrichment school teacher feel she is doing fine, I still find her weak.
Usually, kids will forget, so need to repeat till it becomes permament memory. The length of time differs.
I was like you but learnt that no use to be frustrated, just have to match the child's pace.
Did you sent yours to any enrichment?
Yes, I did but would still need to work with her at home becos of the forgetting element.
I'm planning to take her out becos now using the si wu kuai du books

DD going P1 next week. Damn stress now as DW and myself still cannot decide which school to select for her. Never imagined that registering for P1 could be so stressful. How did our parents survive those days?
-
@SAHM_TAN -you mean you stop the classes to go on holiday?

Maybe you want to share what are your options and see if the expert mummies here will be able to advice you.

guqin,
which schools are you considering ? -
Entering the war in phase 2C and options are ZDPS (nearest) and CHIJ(Kellock) (no direct bus). RMPS definitely no chance since it is so hot. Other possible options include Cantonment PS and GESPS.

Just to go along with the Kiasu theme in this forum, I am already looking for a Chinese tutor for my DD now!

Nope. I'm using a series of books titled si wu kuai du εδΊεΏ«θ―» to build her Chinese recognition. So planning to stop her classes. -

oh! I am so afraid to stop her chinese class as she is already not using much chinese at home.bigsnoopy:
