Happy Year of the Dragon everyone!
Yes, I think different teachers, different styles indeed! Mine didn’t have any HW till just before CNY hols. Now he has, almost everyday.
The donation card… Progress not too great… Didn’t ask too many friends when we go around visiting. Only close relatives. Others, too paiseh to ask. I let ds ask himself. So yah, not that great a response. Looks like I’ve to cough up a lot of it myself. -
DS still comes home with no homework
Ya...the donation card...we brought along during the CNY visiting too!
Got DS to go around asking Uncles & Aunties to help needy families
Almost cleared the $2 cars but long way for the $5 & $10 & others.
We have up till 9th Mar rite? Need to fill up all
-
think no need to fill up all bah. good to do so. but not compulsory?
my $5 and $10 also very few takers… -

Hi,
Anyone joining the violin lessons?? -
hey troubled,
i asked around too. not online but with my friends. so far quite a lot signed up. did you? i did too.
-
Hi Kabalevsky,
Didn't sign up for their Violin lesson, ain't confident they can handle a playful child
Any views on P1 child bringing mechanical pencil to school? :scratchhead: -
hi troubled,
i don't know, ds still uses the traditional type that needs to be sharpened.
but if you or ds prefers, i don't see why not? he can handle the changing of lead and the use of a mechanical pencil right?
maybe for some, the cost of replacing a mech pencil is a deterrent? cos kids may lose their stationery in school, and the 2B pencil is cheaper, so if it's lost, doesn't cause as much of a heartache?
-
Hi Kalabevsky,
Actually I don't agree on bringing mechanical pencil to school too!
DS has some at home which I let him use when he wants to
Actually, DS is not the one who brought it to school, it was his classmate.
DS just couldn't contain himself and broke the classmate's lead :stupid:
(it was only one lead according to DS but teacher says many) :yikes:
Don't know who's telling the truth :?
End up....I was told to buy back a new pack for the classmate by the teacher :moneyflies:
Didn't want DS to bring to school as I don't want such things to happen but end up someone else brought it
