Agreed with you fightingmum, DS Eng n MT teachers have told them their paper 1 , LC n oral marks . For those whose did well it boost their confident but those whose did not do well they wil be v stress to make sure they do well in paper 2 . Why affect their mood before the paper.......

A few of the parents did feeback during the PMT session but feedback like no feedback lei :stupid: ... Has been like this since P5. So has trained my DD if the results announced is not good, there is nothing you can do about it. But what she can control is the next paper - so focus and do her utmost best. Tune out the \"bad news\" if any.

Dear all parents

Yes, hang on, just a few more days to go before SA1 is completed. Just heard from DD that her class prefect self inflicted injuries and had to see the school counsellor because of excessive stress. Do give your kids small breaks in between going through assignments or test papers. Whatever results received, learn from the mistakes and move on… All the best for these last few days and have a good break thereafter! God bless!

We must really teach our kids on how to manage stress and find an avenue for them to channel that stress. For me, I teach my DD to take deep breathing before a paper starts. Calm her mind and tune out any \" distractions\" and focus on the paper at hand.

At the end of the exams, DH and I usually take her out for a good meal, go for movie, shopping, cycle at the beach or go to arcade to play games just for her to relax ....

We have to remember our child is just a 12 year old kid.

Aiyo, my agony will last until next Wed!! AARGHH!!! DS’s Maths, MT & Science papers will be next week. English paper on Fri. I think I need oxygen tank already. Will try to relax during Mother’s Day Celebration this Sat with whole family.


Thankfully DD’s P5 papers will end this Fri. I don’t remember studying this hard for my own exams!!

Teachers like to read out their marks,some who did not do well felt very depressed.Some who did well labelled them as \"Loser\"!!!! :mad:
