I am still holding DD's hand tightly, dare not to hands off....

That is good too as long as we don't stress them too much.

I let go for the prelims...maybe I will hold his hands again end of Aug :rotflmao:
Honestly, letting go completely is something most parents of P6s will not dare to do :nailbite:

As and when now, I keep my son at home to revise and sometimes we go out to take a break and take his mind off exams...otherwise will go :siao: Last Sat after tuition, we brought him to enjoy soup served in a bowl made of bread.

Now have to spend money to help him relax :rotflmao:
2 weeks ago, we had yummy buffet. Last Sat, we had a nice lunch. Maybe during the National Day long week, we will do something else. When the mind is relaxed, the child will be refreshed and study better.
Told hubby to apply for leave šŸ˜‰

Wow..That's nice. My kids' favourite too. Soup served in bread bowl from Soup Spoon. Have not been there for quite a while. Will bring them there on this weekend. My boy had just recover from fever. Already twice for this month. Have to focus on his health for the time being.

Weather is very very hot again. Give him more fluids...take care of yourself too. Will check out Soup Spoon because the soup bowl at the cafe we ate doesn't have the bread all the time. Thanks.

                        Chenonceau:
I've taken my foot off the pedal COMPLETELY now. I no longer assign work. I no longer mark work. The school is revving up to the PSLE and almost every day there are practice papers to do for homework. I like this and am quite happy to let the school do what I observe it is now doing. I no longer have to write excuse letters to excuse my son from doing useless and boring homework.

DS commented once that he performs best when he gets into the zone between Anxiety and Serenity. I don't care how easy or difficult the papers are nowadays. DS just needs to practice getting into The Zone where every sense is alert to challenge BUT not afraid of it.

I'm pretty sure he is not THE BEST student at PSLE but I think we've done enough. From now till PSLE, we will be going on half-load. If school gives enough for half-load then I give nothing. If school doesn't give enough for half-load then I may still give nothing.

                        What will be... will be.
Ah... a post I can relate to!!!

Am letting her be, not because I think she is already giving her best, but because I think it's insane to make her work harder when the school is already pushing her so hard. :siao:

I know she is awesome and perhaps it may be reflected in her results and perhaps not. I just have to keep her (and myself) sane.
