The kids in the first session have to wait until the kids in the second session are in the waiting room before they leave the holding room. However, for the second session, they are to leave when they have finished their oral. These measures are taken to prevent any cheating.[/quote]My DS is in the 2nd session on 1st day but 1st on 2nd day. This would mean that he probably can only be released btw 9.30 to 10am on 2nd day. The reporting time for 2nd session is 9.15am.

janet_lee88, not sure abt entry proof. But on the form that DS showed me, there're index number & team no. He was told to remember his index number. Btw, the team no is different on both day.

Don't be so stress.. Do some . Will help to release ur stress.

I’m feeling nervous and worried for my dd. She’s not the type who can talk well or clearly. Always mumbling…


Didn’t do well in the prelim oral for MT.

And today, she’s taking her grade 8 violin exam! Also got aural component. Haiz! Double stress.

May I know the criteria for the score of Higher Mother Tongue to be used with the T-score.


I know that Distinction = 3; Merit = 2; Pass = 1.

However, is there any requirement that this score can be added to the T-score. According to my child, it has to be the top XX% of national level, which is around T-score of 24X. Is that true? Or where can I find the info?

My understanding is this:

Unless your child is going for SAP secondary school, HCL cannot be used for the T-score. T-score is purely on the 4 subjects: Eng, Maths, Science and Chinese.

Also the score is tabulated as below:

Distinction: 80-100
Merit.     : 65-79
Pass.       : 50-64

IIRC, only the top 5% are offered to continue HCL in secondary school.

If a child’s T-score is 230, HMT = distinction, applying to SAP, T-score = 233?


According to my child, T-score must be at least 24X (ie. top XX% of the national score). Thus, with the above example, the 3 marks in HMT cannot be used since it’s < 24X.

Is this right?
