its888me:
Hi its888me,May I know the criteria for the score of Higher Mother Tongue to be used with the T-score.
I know that Distinction = 3; Merit = 2; Pass = 1.
However, is there any requirement that this score can be added to the T-score. According to my child, it has to be the top XX% of national level, which is around T-score of 24X. Is that true? Or where can I find the info?
TIA!
My understanding is this:
Unless your child is going for SAP secondary school, HCL cannot be used for the T-score. T-score is purely on the 4 subjects: Eng, Maths, Science and Chinese.
Also the score is tabulated as below:
Distinction: 80-100
Merit. : 65-79
Pass. : 50-64
IIRC, only the top 5% are offered to continue HCL in secondary school.
Correct me if I am wrong. :xedfingers: -
If a child’s T-score is 230, HMT = distinction, applying to SAP, T-score = 233?
According to my child, T-score must be at least 24X (ie. top XX% of the national score). Thus, with the above example, the 3 marks in HMT cannot be used since it’s < 24X.
Is this right? -

On my ds’s Entry Proof, the start time shows 8am for both days of oral. But my ds told me he is in session 2 for Day 1 (according to his teacher). I am a bit concerned as there is no written notification. Where did your dc get the timing?

But session 2 will be at about 1030. My son is also having oral at 8am. He told me he is 2nd student. There are 6 of them including him in that group. -

School gave DS a notice on reporting time. Index number & Team No are also indicated on the notice. Do you mean the children has to bring Entry Proof for Oral?? -

For my ds’s school, 1st group report at 7 am and dismiss at 10:45 am (3.75 hours), 2nd group report at 9 am and dismiss at 11:45 am (2.75 hours). But there is no written notification (yet) to parents which group the students assigned to. Not sure whether need to bring Entry Proof or not.

1st batch dismissal time is 10.45am. Have to stay in the holding area to wait for the rest of them to finish (1st batch)My dd is having CL on first day and EL on 2nd day; both on the 1st session.
FT has instructed all to arrive by 715am and to wear full school uniform. Be as neat and tidy as possible and bring a smile too.
Forgot to ask what time can they be dismissed. Anyone has any idea on this ? :? -

Happy National Day! Enjoy & forget about PSLE for a day or two will not do you any harm. Relax & don't have to feel so stress, or your kid might feel nervous. My son's CL on first day. Need to know if there is any entry proof. He told me he will be 2nd one. If he can come back after that...provided he is 1st session, he can leave around 1030. Super stressed today. :nailbite:
All the best everyone !!!
