I just want to confirm the answer for question 2 of the Chinese LC. Is it 1 or 3? Also, is the 1st text the same for both Tamil and Chinese?

DS said half the class chose ans 1 and the other half chose ans 3. From what he described to me, I'm leaning more towards 3 as the ans. -

The text was about a race/competition. Questions number 2 was asking for the purpose of the event. My answer is 3 and as what pecalis mentioned, half of the class chose 1 while the other half chose 3.

My DS class also has 1/2 the class chose 1 and the other 1/2 chose 3. He chose 3. Not sure if it is correct. -
What about the chinese LC Q about Why the old man told his wife there is no burglar in the house when in actual there is.

LC qns2. Why did yall choose option 3? I think the answer should be 1 as option 3 is 告诉父母孩子参加活动will be happy(something like that). If its just to 告诉, shouldn’t it be a workshop and not a real event?

But I thought option 1 is to make everyone happy? I feel that is illogical. Just think about real life events like the one mentioned in the passage.They won't just organised such events to make people happy, instead they would want to educate the community on how to keep their children healthy and happy.
