Glissie:
actually, there is no need to use Guess And Check. You are actually supposed to use supposition: suppose both the number of 20cent and 50cent coins are the same.Mum of 3:
My DD says she doesn't know how to do part (b) of the coin question in Paper 2. Does anyone know what the question is and how many marks?
I think it is 4 marks if not wrong. I done it by Guess and Check. I got 117 for 50 cent coins.Bcos the boy has $133.90-$26(mother gave) -> $107.90
(117X0.5)+(247X0.2) -> $107.90
117+247 you get 364 coins(182X2)
because there are 182 days and 2 coins everyday
182 x 0.5 + 182 x 0.2 = 127.4
127.4 - 107.90 = 19.5
0.5 - 0.2 = 0.3
19.5/0.3 = 65
182 - 65 = 117

I just wonder why we should justify the paper easy or difficult by only such discussion. The one who sat in the exam should know the best. And each individual had their point of view on the paper. Being a parent, we just listened to what their kids mentioned about the question. Indeed they had their own perspective and understanding on the questions already, as an outsider of us who is not the actual exam-taker cannot be sure what their understanding or the interpretation of the questions is correct or not. Actually now, encouragement and hardworking for the coming papers should all dc should do now. No matter, you 'think' you did well or bad last two papers. Nothing can be changed now.
:hi5:
It's true. The child himself/herself is the best person to comment on the difficulty based on their strength in the subject. And what is difficult to one may be easy to another. Since Nothing can be changed, concentrate & do well on remaining papers.
So kids reading all these, it's only for info. Good luck on next 2-3 subjects. :love: -
judging on how the papers go with English and maths being easy, competition to the top secondary schools will be tough as many kids will get similar high t-scores

I think that since both English and Maths paper are easy, the coming papers might be difficult.
Any of you have any opinions to this prediction???e.g. Which subject would be more difficult :scratchhead: :scratchhead: :scratchhead: -
