Normally my son only remember those questions he is not sure cos he wanna ask others. So can remember may not be a good thing.My mum was like :why other kids can remember the ans and ques you cannot!

Later on in the passage, it said something like 当一个孩子从书包里把我拿出来时，我感到非常___。Asked DS. He said question something like this.
我是一张白纸。我的__是让小孩涂鸦。

Think should be 作用
The answer for this was most probably 兴奋, as all of my DD's friends selected that. Hence, 愿望 should be correct. It was also later mentioned in the passage that the child threw the paper away and it was stepped on by many ppl, and later picked up and folded into a paper airplane and thrown to a empty corner.
and it was 写字，让老师改 or something like that, not 涂鸦. -

Yup![/quote]My DS asked me this question once he stepped out of the school gate. He chose \"目的\"． I would think \"作用\" is more appropriate but later i realise it was a cloze passge so \"愿望\" could be also right. It depends very much on the entire passage. Anyway, I asked him to move on, no point guessing what's the right answer. He find the MCQ tricky and comprehension OE easier than his SA and Prelim.

Any idea what the answer is for the paper question? Is it purpose or wish? Hope you know which question I am referring to.
You have to read the passage to know the right answer. I have checked with a Chinese teacher (from China) According to her, the right answer is 愿望。The paper wishes the child make good use of it by drawing or writing on it. My boy chose the answer 作用 as he thought the purpose of paper is to draw or write on it. -

By looking at your son question, it looks correct. My boy also gave the same answer as your boy 作用 After knowing the content of the passage & checking from a Chinese teacher, the answer should be 愿望 :nailbite:BeContented:
