Jug X & Jug Y contained some apple juice. if 2/7 of the apple juice from jug Y was poured into Jug X, the ratio of the amount of apple juice in Jug Y to that in Jug X would be 10:13. What was the ratio of the amount of apple juice in jug Y to the amount of apple juice in Jug X at first?
2/7 of apple juice from Jug Y poured into X, 5/7 of apple juice left in Jug Y,
Jug Y : Jug X --> 10 units : 13 units
5/7 of Jug Y --> 10 units
2/7 of Jug Y --. 4 units
At first, Jug Y : Jug X --> 10 units + 4 units : 13 units - 4 units = 14 : 9

If Leslie received 24 sweets from Carina, he would have the same number of sweets from Carina. What was the total number of sweets shared?
If carina received 8 sweets from Leslie,
Carina's sweets : Leslie's sweets --> 3u : 1u
At first,
Carina's sweets : Leslie's sweets --> 3u-8 : 1u+8
If Leslie received 24 sweets from Carina ,
Carina's sweets : Leslie's sweets
--> 3u-8-24 : 1u+8+24
= 3u - 32 : 1u + 32
3u - 32 = 1u+32
1u --> 32
Total number of sweets shared between them --> 4 x 32 = 128
cheers. -

If Mary took the last sweet, she would have 7 sweets -> the rest had 6 sweets so, we remove the extr sweet from Mary, then she will have same number of sweets as the rest - 6 sweets.
This means total of 115-1= 114 sweets distributed to all the girls.
Number of girls = 114÷6 = 19
cheers.
