is an art… yes? no?

I gave my son my old canon digital camera to shoot his own photos when he was 5. Only taught him to press the button and how to use the autofocus. Everything else was left to him. He took a whole series of very interesting pictures from views that only kids can see. I was impressed. In fact, I trust him to take better pictures than my wife.is an art... yes? no?

I am not an expect in this but I feel that Photography definitely is an art. I often feel that a nice/creative/interesting photo is not determine by what camera you use but the person behind the camera. Some cheap camera still can achieve good effects. It's all about composition.is an art... yes? no?

I didn't teach my child about photography. Just gave her a digital camera and told her where to press the button. I only tell her things that you want to appear in the photo will have to be seen in the little window on the camera. I will only make some comments like if you had not included this or that perhaps the picture would look nicer. Or things like that needn't appear in the photos etc.
If she is keen and wants to go for workshop or even attend proper course, I am fine. But photography is not a cheap hobby -
Dear Parents,
I am a photography instructor - i am thinking of venturing into conducting kids photography workshop during the december holidays.
Before I start, I would like to do a quick research and I appreciate a respond from parents out there.
1. How old are your kids?
2. Would you send your kids for a photography workshop?
3. What is your preferred duration for a photography workshop? 1-5 days.
4. How much are you willing to pay for a photography workshop of the duration mentioned above?
Thank you very much -

I think I would be willing to pay about $200-$300 for a 3-4 day workshop. I have been looking for a photography workshop for a while and yours is the only one I have seen so far...do you have any photos of your work? -
Hi jasmineong,
Thank you for your reply.
I have been teaching photography for a while for higher level (age 16 and above). My partners and I are currently working on the curriculum to pitch photography content for primary school level. We are planning to roll out the course for March holiday.
You can check out my portfolio at http://www.flickr.com/nileeyteh and I can be contacted at [email protected].
Thank you -
Photography is a good hobby. Certainly better than computer games. I am gave my son a cheap digital camera, those idiot proof type. I hope it will stir an interest in them.

nowadays, photography is a cheap hobby. Apart from the one time cost of the camera, there're no other costs involved if you don't print. A point and shoot these days costs about $400-$500.

been into photography recently after being a bus enthusiast for half a year. my whole collection is at http://www.catonamug.com/sbs7502z/index.php, can't put the photos here cos they're much too big. there's a small album at the bottom labelled miscellaneous, its a small collection but oh well
