What's wrong with the headlights and ABS? If the headlight is sometime can on, sometime cannot, then there is a good chance that it's nearing the end of it's lifespan.
ABS is complex, and critical if you actually need to use it - so i'll not treat it lightly. If it's a complicated case, maybe it would be necessary to spend more to make sure that it works well.
For normal servicing, any mechanic/workshop should be able to do it. If i have the place to ramp up my car to allow me to stand comfortably (and safely) under the car to unlock the drain plug, as well as the place to pour away used oil, I could in theory service the car myself too... Based on this, for normal servicing, can aim to save $$ by going to cheap places. Same for cosmetic things like lights, car wash, etc.
But for critical things, I'll be more careful... -

hey, thanks for the info. basically one of my headlights can't switch on while the other can. as for ABS it seems to be on at times when i don't really need it and it really cause me some heart attacks when it don't allow me to break at times.ShinTutor:

if one headlight is not on while the other is, that means the bulb has fused. any workshop who sells the bulb can change for you for free
if the ABS indicator is on and you are not braking, then it is the electronics managing the ABS that has got problem. Nothing magical of ABS. the electronics make the brake on and off at high frequency when it detects a slippery braking condition - it does it faster than human could, on the same concept of human stepping on the brake and let go quickly BUT repeatedly to avoid locking up of the wheel which could cause skidding. so, may be the chip with the ABS software is faulty ? hardly any layman can service that without specialised equipment -

yes i did ask a workshop about it but they say they do not have the computer specialized for it that's why i was hoping there might be some kind soul who chance upon such a problem and manage to find a workshop regarding it and maybe the price range of fixing. There was another workshop in sinming who told me that no worries can carry on driving no issues with it. lolif one headlight is not on while the other is, that means the bulb has fused. any workshop who sells the bulb can change for you for free

that could be true. you only don't get the ABS working, the brake still works; and if you jam hard in wet condition, you may skid, that is all. on dry condition should have no problem, without ABS function

how do u know it's the ABS that's not working?

If u can't brake when u need to, then it's a serious matter!!! -
Eh, I went to Mova (Queenstown) long long time ago. That time, the aircon wasn’t cold and the mechanic suggested I change one part costing $300, and do chemical wash. lo and behold, after about 4 months, the whole aircon broke down. I had to change everything inside (costed about 1K plus then).
was very pissed becos the $300 plus part had to be replaced again and they said it was after the ‘warranty’ period.
Since then, have never visited Mova.
Aside from KM, I got to service kiosks at petrol stations - the one at Shell newton is not too bad. Also got a regular uncle at Ubi whose service I find is quite good and prices reasonable. but have to dig to find his contact. if keen let me know. -

some of the service centres at Shell station are authorised honda service agents - so there is some standard there, minus the agent's (Kah Motor) in-house costEh, I went to Mova (Queenstown) long long time ago.
