My friend apparently did braces for $7500! It's the invisible kind. I was so shocked.

I paid $800 for teeth whitening last year. I thought the package comes with a home whitening kit. When I asked for it during payment, I was then advised that there is a little * next to the item and the * below spelled out that a home whitening kit is given after dentist finds that you need it (something like that). It was followed by a sale talk to buy this and that to maintain the whitening effect. You know lah, the things they said before and after were different. Before; it was mentioned that the home whitening kit is in the package. After that, dentist said that your teeth are okay so no home kit will be issued but you could buy this or buy the special toothpaste or cream, blah blah blah. I felt cheated that moment. If I know that I need to maintain them, I will not do it! I rather buy the whitening kit from Wastons. My teeth has lost its whitening effect after 3-6 months. I find it a total waste of money and time.

Teeth whitening damages the enamel. My dentist refused to do it for me.

He just told me to brush regularly, alternating with Colgate Whitening and Sensodyne (he says it contains something to build the enamel).

Good not?[/quote]yah she said the dentist is a specialist so very skilled. Even her wisdom tooth lower jaw extraction was very very fast. and painless.

I'm not sure how long the whitening will last... but i think all these are hard to last, unless you abstain from tea and coffee, which is hard for most people.

I'm going for a wisdom tooth extraction ( i hope it's extraction cos it's upper jaw) on Thurs! šŸ™ Praying hard that it's not impacted cos if it requires surgery will cost 3-5 times more $$$ than a simple extraction...

Just glad that this is my last wisdom tooth to yank out.

Anyone has any experience of their 3 years old child having black spots (bacteria) growth of the teeth? Trying to get my child to brush the teeth but those black spots are still persistently there

If there's black spots that are not removable by regular brushing, it's time to see the dentist. It might be decay or calcium deposits.

My friend's son had black spots which ignored until he complained of pain. By then, it was too late, the decay was very bad and the surrounding gums and teeth were affected, all had to pluck out.
