Is there a dental clinic that allows patients to pay by instalment for implants? It’s just too costly.

How much can I claim from cpf?

In the west - any good recommendation?

So far, my kids' teeth came loose because the permanent set is pushing it out. In fact for ds2, the moment his 2 front teeth dropped, we saw the 2 permanent set coming out together...

So did your child's teeth dropped automatically or????

I had alot of teeth problem when I was young. One of my front teeth never drop and then finally at around upper primary, my mum brought me to the dentist and they found that there is a bone between milk and permanent set. So had to go through an ops to remove the bone and then wait for permanent set to come down. It took awhile.

Then there was another milk teeth that didn't drop but the one next to it had 2 permanent set!!!! So I had my milk teeth till 23 yrs old when my dh (bf then) encouraged me to see a orthodontist and finally got my braces at that age (just before getting married). Fortunately I only had to wear it for 9 months as it was just the front part that was creating problem.

My dd1 seems to have alittle of my genes. She had prenatal teeth for the lower 2 (usually the 1st 2 teeth to sprout). Starting having swollen gums when she was few days old..... Dentist proposed that we extract it and we did. So she didn't have her 2 lower teeth (so cute for bb) until she was 7 years old and it's permanent set.

When her tooth was wobbly she complained that it was abit uncomfortable to eat so we extracted it. Both teeth dod not drop out on their own. Am just wondering is it normal for the permanent set to take so long to appear. Should I wait for a couple more months or go to the dentist to get it checked. Her bottom ones have dropped and grown new set already.

Should I go for an implant that will be done by a post graduate dentist at NUH? The cost of implant for a tooth is only $2K (for post graduate) compared to a specialist $5K? But a little worried - don’t know whether it is safe?

has the post grad dentist any real work experience before ?

I didnt ask. I was told the queue is about one year’s waiting time. Not sure if it’s because it’s in demand or lack of supply? But when it comes to implant, time is of essence - as my bone mass may decrease then got to do bone grafting - more cost. So after weighing the pros and cons, decided not to.
