• RE: Advice needed

      hi

We had never been wanting to withhold anything but was just commenting our personal experience for hiring this maid and engaging the services of the maid agency since the day one that we have this maid. The unreasonable demand and harsh act to us had prompted us to air out our personal view of our experience.

We are unable to share or devour more details as we are still awaiting for the MOM investigation but will be happy to do so once it is concluded and this is where the sharing will benefit reader in this forum.

And in any case, the details of the investigation like \"cleaning\" with ladder in condos etc are privlige information known only to the owner, MOM and lastly, the maid agency.
So it is highly suspicious who has such information and able to conclude confidently in this forum.

In any case, such accusations are highly lopsided and conveniently omitted facts that will give reader a balance view.

We are ready to share once the MOM investigation is completed but for those who jump into conclusions immediately, are they ready with facts ?

      Hi Mary Ann,

I would say that at this point of time, i can’t share any detail but only be able to say that I do regret giving the recommendation to the agency.

We did not ask anything more from the agency but only good consideration as we being the employer but we seen no slightest intention of them helping the employer.

We have no intention to put other people’s doing in this forum but only wanting to say time will tell.

      Hello everybody,

I regret to say that I have to take back my recommendation on the maid agency as recently that the agency was not professional in dealing with matter.

To be direct, they are very much only concerned with the maid and wants employer to accept it any wrongdoings on the maid.

My eyes nearly popped out when I saw this. Had to do a double take and check if it is really prepping the current P3 batch for PSLE :rotflmao:

Think still have enough time right? or are parents of current P3 really starting the prep work now (worry liao...) :yikes:

ok, since there's a question asked about the syllabus change, here's the announcement that I cut/paste from CNA:

PSLE English Language paper to be tweaked for 2015 examination
By Sharon See | Posted: 03 September 2012 1437 hrs
SINGAPORE: The English Language paper for the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) will be tweaked for the cohort taking the national examination in 2015.

The changes will reflect the 2010 revision of the English Language syllabus, which will be implemented for Primary Four students next year.

The Ministry of Education said the new syllabus has a sharper focus on 21st-century competencies, which includes critical thinking and communication skills.

For example, in the oral examination, students may not be asked to describe a picture, which is the current practice. Instead, they may be asked for their personal opinion after being shown a visual stimulus, such as a poster or book cover.

The written papers will also include open-ended questions where students may then be asked to write a narrative from different perspectives.

      Thanks for sharing this, ponyo!

I think we should take the submission of feedback/ refree maid thing seriously.

If we select ex sin maid, ask for this document....or better still, ask MOM to make it mandantory for all ex sin maid to have reference letters if they are applying to come back to singapore to work. So we know why they left.

We have the same thing when we apply for job too, right?
I will indeed fully agreed to it! If they are using their experienced for higher pay then we will also need to look at the reference provided by their employers. :rahrah:
I hope we all employers should protect each other, do not allow such irresponsible and defiant maids to transfer to another family! As soon as your replacement as arrived, buy an air ticket, cancel work permit and tell her to go back and use hand phone everyday in Indonesia without any \"timetables\" somemore!

Does your agent tell you to send her back and do not allow transfer also?

Yes, we are employers ourselves and should not allow such irresponsible acts.

Would need to wait for replacement before we can send her back.

The agent had also us they do not allow such excuses and allow transfer

      for them.

Wow! That's very good and ethical for your agent. This means the agent will loss money about $1,000 ? Because actually if they insist must transfer transfer can charge new employer $888?,$1188? Agency fee and the maid at least transfer fee at one month for $550? 560?at least (yours maid 10 years experience maid right?).

Can pm me the agent please coz my cousin want to look for good agent before chinese new year
Hi MTSC,

Apologies for the delay and jux pm u.
