But I'm sure you've seen improvements in your girl's work, right? My frustration is DS can do the work I give him, generally. But I still don't see that in his test papers. Freaking out that his CA1 will start on 2 Mar. :nailbite:

My son is definitely not freaked out, not that I want him to be. Would be terrible if he freaks out. He’s still laid back. Playtime with his friends as usual from 5pm to 630pm everyday. If friends are not free, he’ll be either playing with Rubik’s cube or iPad or Lego. Weekends are free from lunch time onwards.

the madness will build up from june onwards.
so, go easy in the meantime and don't stress yourself too much over CA/SA...the big picture is in September...PSLE. :snuggles:

PSLE English Language paper to be tweaked for 2015 examination

SINGAPORE: The English Language paper for the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) will be tweaked for the cohort taking the national examination in 2015.

The changes will reflect the 2010 revision of the English Language syllabus, which will be implemented for Primary Four students next year.

The Ministry of Education said the new syllabus has a sharper focus on 21st-century competencies, which includes critical thinking and communication skills.

For example, in the oral examination, students may not be asked to describe a picture, which is the current practice. Instead, they may be asked for their personal opinion after being shown a visual stimulus, such as a poster or book cover.

The written papers will also include open-ended questions where students may then be asked to write a narrative from different perspectives.

I guess it depends on whether one is aiming for those listed schools just above your post!!

What I’m about to write is purely my opinion on how I view the cut-offs.

I will rank the schools acoording to the students t-scores they are taking in including the affiliated students. Otherwise, definitely the cut-off point they take in from the non-affiliated students will be inflated as there will not be many vacancies left. Also as boys cant go to the girls’ schools or vice versa, I’ll separate them into 2 groups with the mixed schools appearing in both groups.

Top 5 schools for Girls (IP A level track)
1. Raffles Girls (258)
2. National Junior College (255)
3. St Nicholas Girls’ (253)*
3. Dunman High (253)
5. Cedar Girls (252)

*St Nick’s does not take in affiliated students at a discount for IP track.

Top 4 schools for Boys (IP A level track)
1. Raffles Institute (256)
1. Hwa Chong Institute (256)
3. National Junior College (255)
4. Dunman High (253)

I didn’t put the 5th position for boys as many of the other IP boys’ schools tied at 249,

haha guess what i only aim for her to go NA and sch score to enter is 180 so really i dont plan to burn her out at all lol
