      Hihi,

Anyone here can enlighten me… What is the difference in high achiever english and the achiever english? How different is the coverage? Thanks!

I was told difficulty level different. You can ask to look at their worksheets and make your own comparison . Personally I find the regular class worksheets not easy too. Son was told that it is common to get marginal pass or fail for class work most of the time due to more difficult materials for HA.

Thanks, Jedamum… so I suppose they do the same components as the regular classes but pitched at a higher level…

If I am not wrong, HA includes all the Achiever components plus extra such as difficult comprehension and cloze passages.

I thought the HQ is bishan? Katong is popular, heard that also popular with competitors.. :rotflmao: hehehe so must be good. I think it depends on individual teachers since the materials are standard.

Try interacting with the Bishan counter girls, vomit blood.

I've moved my son from the Bishan branch to TPY (Braddell) earlier part of this year. In my humble opinion, the teachers in TPY are just as good, if not better than those in Bishan despite it not being the main branch. The admin staffs in TPY are definitely much better. Only problem now is we need to travel further to TPY as we stay in Bishan.

I can't say which class he is attending else those in the know will know exactly which teachers I am inferring to. All I can say is I've a more positive experience in the TPY branch rather than the Bishan one. Please don't pm me regarding this, thanks!

                    Hi Wind79, Thank you.

Have you or any parents have attended their tool box class?

                    Is it beneficial? Thank you.

I've discussed this with another friend whose kid is attending it. Her dd is doing well in Eng, but main problem is, her dd is also attending a number of other enrichment classes such as S&D. Her DD also started with I can read since young. So we can't really tell if its due to MS.

Hi…will like to ask if you think MS material is pegged at PSLE level? Reasons I am asking is because I find MS questions very challenging and if such challenging questions are only representing 10% of PSLE questions, I am thinking of withdrawing. My gal is not so academically smart, sometimes I see her struggling and spending so much time trying to work out those worksheets, I feel that time can be better used to cover other subjects or other areas. And I realise her class size is very big, tutor does not go through the details. In the past, my gal will approach tutor after class for clarification. But now the questions take longer time to explain, tutor does not have that time, only write the final answer and get her to do correction. So now only me and hub are helping her with the steps to get the answers.

Just feel that I am paying monthly fee to subscribe to their material and I do not know if that material is relevant to PSLE standard.
