I have a iphone and a android. I enjoy my iphone but there are some applications that just cannot be supported by iphone.

We tried to do some online booking of concert tickets. Kept trying on the iphone but it didn’t work… I thought it’s just a server response issue as many parents were using the same website at the same time. Then did I realise that it’s actually because iphone cannot support it… My android phone allow me to access but as it is not my main phone it didn’t dawn on me to try to use that. So we wasted time on that…

        What I hate about iPhone…

No mass storage mode and no expandable memory…

The other restrictions still can tahan…

For andriod… wanna put any media just plug in and dump files into it like a USB drive, or even do it wirelessly with SE Arc. Not enuff memory… Just plug in another microSD card…

For iPhone, to put pictures/video must open the itunes and then use some sync function and somehow for some unknown reason some media just mysteriously disappeared due to the sync… talk about being user friendly… Sometimes, it really difficult to figure out what sync does… copy content from PC to phone or the other way round…

And, for the iPhone4S, with HD recording, the 16GB version is only good for ~1.5hrs of video… w/o any Apps… cannot just plug in a microSD card and use…

I’ve encountered system hang ups even with Nokia phones. The only phone that has no hang ups are the early generation ones where they don’t have graphics, just numbers. Those were very, very reliable and lasts and lasts. I miss those phones.

I find that Smartphones these days are less user friendly in the key areas ie. phone functions. These translates to more key presses to get to the needed phone functions. With the old phone, one can survive for days, typically 5 days on a single charge. These is where technology hasn’t progressed fast enough.

I personally prefer android phones due to the battery too. I can always buy a new battery if the current one gets depleted in lifespan. Batteries have a maximum charging cyle too right? Also, android phones are generally cheaper for my low end data plan. 🙂

Batteries deteriorate the moment they leave the factory.

Average is drop in capacity of ard 20% per year. So, a brand new Li-Ion rechargeable battery, never used before, may be useless after 5 years. In addition, for Li-Ion Batteries, if the charge drops below a certain level (for e.g. left discharged for prolong period, like 6 mths), it will be immediately disabled by itself. bcoz of the nature of the technology, charging a completely flat Li-Ion battery is potentially dangerous.
