Go for progressive lenses, which looks like normal lenses. There is no unsightly dividing line seen in bifocals.

          Now it's called \"Progressive Lens\"! ;D

I've been wearing since my late 30s. No big deal. But not as good a own eyes. Sometimes, take out the glasses still easier to see small print.

I’m trying to delay wearing that for now.

But it can get embarrassing when I can’t read fine-print like instructions on items.

Oh no. I do not want to experience long sightedness.

Do you also have myopia? If so, you can choose to correct one eye for myopia, and the other eye for presbyopia (called monovision, I think). Some people do that and can cope (I have a sil who has done this for many years), but I don't think I could. If you don't have myopia, you can correct for presbyopia, but then you would have to wear glasses to see distance, so that really doesn't help.
