      Han Seo:
Ayurvedic in the Indian community is the equivalent of our traditional chinese medicine. I'm not sure what components are in curry leaves that are effective but no harm trying.

      ok.... might try this. thanks.

        @ Han Seo

what does ayurvedic mean? Isnt' curry leaves spicy too?

and I never thought our chlorinated water might be a factor too? What if I boil it? does boiling remove the chlorine or decrease its level ?
Not sure if boiling water removes any of the chlorine or not.
But this is what happen to my water filter in the shower area after 4mths of installation. http://i41.tinypic.com/15n25ug.jpg\">

Correct me if I'm wrong - but are the two the same filter - the white and the brown one? before and after ?

I have never tried chinese medicine all my life, except for po chai pills (diarrhoea). Read news about chinese pills causing problems. I'm not sure if I should try.

Yes, it is before and after 4 mths of usage in the shower area.
Do not try the pills one cause u never know what has been added to make the pills. I would choose to go for the herbs that brew one at least they are plants.

Oh dear, I've never installed a filter in my house. It's scary why so dirty. Will try to talk to DH into installing one.

Yes, u r right - if I want to try, will go for herbs and not pills.

              Thank you for sharing.

I have reflux too but never had gastric pains. My ENT doc confirmed it via endoscopy. A while ago, I smelt cigarette smoke when no one was around and thought I was paranoid. I did a google search and learnt that was due to reflux. I took a course of omeprezole and the smoke smell went away.

IMO, omeprezole is more effective than antacid as it restricts the acid (preventive) rather than try to curb it after it causes pain (reactive).

Thanks for sharing, cherrygal. I was on 'omeprezole' the very first time but it worked only for a while. Then it doesnt seem to work much. It's always like one day I feel better, then the next day the pain came back. Then the pain will go off for another two days, and cycle repeats. So I'm not sure if the sores in my stomach actually heal and new ones form or are those the same ones. I have made another appointment to see the specialist and will see what he says.
