actually surprise me that a GEP student can fail his english test, more likely a one-off bad performance. One of the criteria for GEP selection at P3 is the grasp and maturity in the usage of the english langauge apart from strength in other areas like analytical thinking etc. šŸ˜„

The GEP English standard is quite demanding. Was told sec 2 standard at P5. If they can score above 70, my ds teacher would say it is good. I am not sure what weightage is the English component during P3 selection test though.

                Trapwithin:
For those P3 parents who are preparing for the GEP tests, the dates are out.

I do not know if someone has posted it yet, but here is is.

GEP Screening Test: 26 August 2011
GEP Selection Test: 18 and 19 October 2011
Better don't prepare and let nature take its course. From what I was told the various training centres do not cover English componet.

Ladies, you all have given the correct advice.

                    Yes! Must be natural.

Nowadays well -informed aunties are also known as ladies. This term is interchangeable.
