May I know which are the more stressful gep schools and which are the more relaxed ones... Or do I even make sense.

thanks for the tips. yes, i think i only have 3 choices to choose from. the rest are good too but too far. will zoom in on those 3. and yes, not much time and there could be other parents asking too, so should split with dh. he is going too.
If yr spouse is coming along, split between 2 of you :). But it may not make sense to talk to all the 9 schools, so do shortlist whichever ones that u are really keen on ...superksmum:
You might like to go down earlier to look at the booth set up by different school. -

Yes! Thanks :)[/quote]My guess is 'competition' will be most intense at NYPS as there are 4 classes. Impression of ACS is it allows its students to progress at their own pace. HPPS - am still trying to find out more about the school too.kabalevsky:

As a parent with 2 kids in NYPS- I can say regular NYPS class already competitive- not to mention GEP class- and who are competitive? Its the parents more than the kids sadly…a lot of examples but not nice to say in a public forum…surely kena flamed…

I heard that some of the GEP schools will have 1st draft, 2nd draft etc but not so in NYPS (in certain subjects). The most only 1 draft esle how to mark and return on time based on the big no of geppers.

Yes the competition could be tough when come to contests, debates, sports, camps and leaderships (esp prefects). Some of the programmes also included the mainstream kids, so very competitive. -

You are right. Sometimes I feel that it is the parents that are more stressed than the kids themselves. So far, what I know is that it is the parents who are more keen to enrol their kids in tuition after looking at the kids' results and teachers' feedbacks. -

Hi porcupine12trade, the program is manageable for most kids & most will enjoy it, so you don't need to worry so much. Go for the talk first then decide with your gal whether she likes to take on the challenge? So far all my friend's DC & my DS enjoyed the program.
Hi flowermonaster
Thank you for the reply. May I check also, if the program is very stressful and \"difficult\"? I am concerned if my dd can handle. Although she is doing very well in her current school, the thought of doing something different makes me feel lost. -
