dd1 was assigned to IRS. dd2 did IVP. Personally, we find IRS way more time consuming than IVP.

Tks PiggyLalala. Now, DC saw the p5 performance for DI (Destination Imagination) today and thought it was interesting. It was previously her 2nd choice. Told her to give herself till Sat(last day) to decide. But DI according to her only select 14 students so may not get it as there was audition and some assignment prior to that. Let's see how things go. But I think this ISO will take up quite a bit of their time next yr.

Btw, anyone has the ERP list for P5 2015?
For p5, they will start with mystery stories. Get books by Agatha Christie or the Sherlock holmes books. Those will come in handy and there are a lot...can last quite a while.

Can I know abt the IVP and IRS for P5 next year? I notice that you mentioned your gal has to decide by Sat but mine didn't say anything yet?

I was told they were given a long survey and the result will determine if they suit IVP or IRS? But I know a few of the classmates were not there to do the survey that day as they were invited to the IVP exhibition.

I hope I m not missing anything. Thanks for sharing.

                      Hi junemum72,

I was told by my DD that they were first given a form to indicate their choices. She chose IVP as first choice. After which, there were a mini assignment or test. I believe that was a test to see if they suit IVP. But not all was given that assignment from what she told me. Then for DI, there was an audition. After audition, there was an assignment for them to complete. Assignment is strictly to be done by the child only. So after these series of events, DD class was told to go to go ask and learn this week to select their choices. Not sure if this is the survey that you meant? We haven’t done it yet as DD was unsure if she want DI instead. But I believe this should be the last round to do their selection.

                        Hi,

Would like to hear from GEP parents if they encountered a situation when it comes to choosing GEP centre, parent and child both have different views.

Parent’s first choice could be the nearest centre (SAP school, co-ed).
However, DC is only willing to transfer to a single gender and non-SAP school (similar to DC’s current school environment).

Can the parent’s view prevail? Or should the child be allowed to have his/her way?
