Sorry for the late reply.

I'm not sure what is the format for their Chinese Paper as I only saw one 测验 worksheet couple of weeks ago.

The test is 70 marks with:

1) 填写字词
2) 综合填空
3) 阅读理解一
4) 阅读理解二

I am also not sure will there be a CA1 for CL Exam as next week will be the last week of term 1 and seems that next week only left with Geography test.

No problem....Brenda! Thanks for the info. It's about the same as ds school. Except there isn't any '填写字词' I think.

Hi, time flies and 1st term holiday (March) will be one month later.


Notice in Secondary one DD hardly has homework for CL and most of the homework is Math and Science.

There is totally no 习字 and 听写!

Think CA1 will be coming soon as DD has done some of her school past year papers for some subject.

My school's Chinese class still let's us do 听写。 but no more of 习字

Don't be disheartened. It's a jump from primary Sch. You must adjust quickly to new way of assessment. Besides the 4 subjects you took in PSLE, you are now introduced to many new subjects, mainly humanities. Maybe your strengths are more in Math and Science. Try to learn study techniques from those classmates who are coping well or seniors. Before every test, clarify your doubts with teachers. You have rest of year to pull up the marks. Jiayou!
